Description
Nardini Acqua di Cedro is a refined Italian liqueur that captures the essence of the cedro fruit (also known as the lemon of Calabria). With its fresh and vibrant character, this liqueur is often called “summer in a bottle.” It is crafted by Nardini, Italy’s oldest distillery, established in 1779, where tradition and craftsmanship combine to create authentic and elegant spirits. Acqua di Cedro is light, sparkling, and aromatic, making it a versatile drink that can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or as the base for a refreshing cocktail.

Nardini

Nardini is a historic Italian distillery from Bassano del Grappa in Veneto and is regarded as one of the important names in the development of grappa. The house was founded in 1779 by Bortolo Nardini, who moved from his native Trentino to Bassano and opened a distillery and grapperia beside the famous Ponte Vecchio. Its position on the River Brenta made the location particularly suitable for both production and trade.

Nardini also played an important technical role in the modernisation of grappa. In 1860, the founder’s grandson introduced steam distillation as a replacement for direct fire heating. This allowed for a more consistent and controllable distillation process and marked an important step in the professional production of Italian grappa.

The family business has remained closely connected to Bassano del Grappa throughout the generations. Alongside unaged and matured grappa, Nardini also produces amaro, aperitifs and other liqueurs. The house therefore combines more than two centuries of distilling tradition with an enduring role in Italy’s culture of grappa and digestifs.
