Curado is a Mexican tequila brand created through a collaboration between the Estes and Camarena families. Tequila ambassador Tomás Estes and master distiller Carlos Camarena wanted to create a tequila in which the character of agave could play an even more prominent role. Curado was introduced in 2013 and builds on the Camarena family’s long experience with traditional tequila production in Jalisco.

Curado begins with a Blanco Tequila made entirely from Blue Weber agave. After distillation, the tequila gains its distinctive character through an infusion of pieces of cooked agave. Different agave varieties are used for these infusions, sourced from their traditional regions in Mexico and cooked according to methods associated with their place of origin.

Alongside Blue Weber from Jalisco, Curado uses varieties including Espadín from Oaxaca and Cupreata from Michoacán. Each expression therefore highlights a different aspect of agave while remaining firmly rooted in tequila. Curado creates an unusual connection between traditional tequila production and the remarkable diversity of Mexican agave.
