Secret Orkney 14 years 100 Proof Edition #15

This particular whisky from Signatory Vintage was distilled at Orkney's most famous distillery. As they do not want their name mentioned, this particular version is bottled as Secret Orkney.

Tasting note

Nose

Unmistakably a true island whisky. Mild in the smoke, but definitely perceptible. Nice and waxy and firm in the nose. The high alcohol content hinders us from keeping our nose in eht glass all the time, but the will is there. Perfect choice when it comes to the aroma.

Taste

Full-bodied and spicy is the first thing mentioned. Hints of smokiness, heather and damp forest are terms that totally suit this Island Malt. 

Finish

Long and full of character. The alcohol makes for a warm finish.
