Nose

Dates, figs and a candied zest of an orange. The scent of peat smoke also surfaces firmly, not to mention the sherry aroma.

Taste

Butterscotch and chilli pepper, sultanas and chocolate crunch. Salty hint and again the firm peat that provides the character of this whisky.

Finish

The finish is long-lasting and the smoky bitterness provides a powerful finish.

Overall impression

Ledaig aged in a sherry cask and bottled at cask strength is guaranteed to be a hit. This is a great example of this!
