Inverleven 28 years 1968 - 1996 Society Cask No. 20.13 Fairy Soap and Black Pepper

A special Single Cask bottling marketed in 1996 by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It represents a rare glimpse of an expired distillery.

Tasting note

Nose

On opening the bottle, ripe scents of orchard fruits, such as peach and pear, emerge, mixed with gentle hints of honey and dried flowers.

Taste

The palate is indulged with the silky texture of vanilla and toffee with hints of citrus and a subtle note of oak.

Finish

The finish is long-lasting and warming with a wonderful balance between the sweetness of marzipan and a slightly spicy wood character.
