Tasting notes:

Appearance: Dark amber-gold

Nose: Rich raisin fruit cake with subtle hints of dark chocolate and orange marmalade.

Palate: Fruit malt loaf with a dusting of ground almond and aged-oak spice. Hints of tobacco leaf, cedar wood and stewed barley linger  on the palate.

Glendronach Distillery

Glendronach Distillery is located in the valley of Forgue, near Huntly in Aberdeenshire, in the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1826 by James Allardice, Glendronach is one of the oldest legal distilleries in Scotland and is known for its rich tradition and craftsmanship.

A specific feature of Glendronach is its strong focus on maturing whisky in ex-sherry casks. This gives the whiskies their distinctive deep, complex and fruity flavour profiles, with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, honey and spices. The distillery uses water from the Dronac Burn, which contributes to its unique flavour.

Glendronach uses traditional copper pot stills and a slow distillation process, ensuring a rich and full-bodied spirit. Glendronach's whiskies are known for their elegance and depth, with a long, warming finish.

Glendronach Distillery remains a highly respected name among whisky lovers for its dedication to quality and tradition and its production of exceptionally balanced Highland single malts.
