Glenmorangie 12 years The Lasanta
Rich and full-bodied, the signature expression is first aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks for smoothness. Glenmorangie then finish this single malt whisky in hand-selected Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Sourced from Jerez in Spain, the sherry casks bring rich raisin intensity, toffee and spices to Glenmorangie's renowned smooth style, enjoyed and awarded across the world.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Warm spices mix with smooth chocolate covered raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee.
Taste: Deliciously sweet sherry flavoured sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butterscotch combine to create complex warm spices.
Finish: Long and satisfying finish with spiced orange and chocolate covered hazelnuts.
Glenmorangie Distillery
Glenmorangie Distillery is located in Tain, Ross-shire, on the east coast of the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1843 by William Matheson, Glenmorangie has a long and rich history in whisky production. The distillery is located near the Dornoch Firth, which provides a unique source of pure water, essential to the production process.
A specific feature of Glenmorangie is the use of the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland, which are over five metres high. These stills produce an exceptionally pure and delicate spirit. Glenmorangie is known for its innovative approach to barrel maturation, using a wide range of cask types including ex-bourbon, sherry and wine casks. This results in complex and rich flavour profiles.
Glenmorangie whiskies are loved for their smooth and fruity character, with notes of vanilla, honey, and citrus. The distillery remains a pioneer in the whisky world, with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship, keeping Glenmorangie one of the most respected names in the world of single malt whisky.
