Allt-A-Bhainne Distillery
The Allt-A-Bhainne distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland, among the rolling hills near Glenrinnes. Founded in 1975 by Chivas Brothers, this distillery was originally built to support the demand for malt whisky for blends. The modern, functional design departs from the traditional style and was intended to maximise efficiency in production. Allt-A-Bhainne produced mainly for popular blends such as Chivas Regal, so it remained under the radar for single malt enthusiasts for a long time.
Whiskies from Allt-A-Bhainne are known for their light, fruity profile with hints of honey, green apple and sometimes a touch of peat. Nowadays, this single malt is gaining recognition from independent bottlers.
