Tasting Notes

Nose

Soft and sweet with vanilla, caramel, ripe apple and light honey. Behind that come corn, gentle spice and a subtle touch of toasted oak.

Palate

Rounded and smooth with caramel, vanilla, sweet corn and a hint of toffee. The rye in the mash bill adds a small spicy edge, while oak brings warmth and structure. Approachable, lightly sweet and easy to enjoy.

Finish

Medium length and smooth with lingering vanilla, caramel, light spice and a touch of oak.

Serving suggestion

Heaven Hill Distillery

Heaven Hill is one of the major names in Kentucky whiskey and was founded in 1935. The company remains family-owned and is known for a wide range of American whiskeys and bourbons, including well-known names such as Elijah Craig, Evan Williams and Larceny.

This Heaven Hill Bourbon 100cl shows the approachable side of the house: classic American whiskey, smooth, lightly spicy and made for any moment when you simply want a good bourbon in the glass.

Heaven Hill Distillery is an independent Kentucky family business, founded in 1935 by the five Shapira brothers and several local investors. The first barrel was filled in Bardstown on 13 December that year. The family initially had no established brands or mature stocks, but worked with distillers from the renowned Beam family to build one of America’s most important whiskey houses.

In 1996, a devastating fire destroyed the original distillery, together with seven warehouses and around 92,000 barrels. Production was eventually continued at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, while maturation and bottling remained closely connected to Bardstown. Distilling also returned to the town in 2025 with the opening of Heaven Hill Springs Distillery.

Heaven Hill produces bourbon, rye and wheat whiskey and has a particularly strong Bottled-in-Bond tradition. Its celebrated names include Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, Larceny, Old Fitzgerald, Henry McKenna, Rittenhouse and the Parker’s Heritage Collection. Family ownership, extensive mature stocks and a broad range of mash bills give Heaven Hill a distinctive position within Kentucky whiskey.
