Nose

The whisky has a wonderful balance between sweetness and spiciness, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and a slight hint of pepper. Finish

The finish is long and complex, with lingering notes of dried fruit, dark chocolate and spice. The influence of the sherry cask lingers for a long time, with a sweet, warming aftertaste that slowly turns into slightly dry, spicy oak notes. A pleasant warmth remains, typical of whiskies aged in sherry casks.

Filliers Distillery

In 1869, Karel Lodewijk Filliers founded his company in Deinze, Belgium, then focused on growing grains. Surplus grain was distilled as an agricultural distillery. In 1880, the licence for the 'gin distillery' came about and the Filliers Distillery became a reality.

Since this time, the distillery has worked with the traditional copper stills. The craftsmanship of the master distillers ensured that the recipes for the drinks were increasingly refined. Today, the recipes are still a family secret passed on to each succeeding generation that enters the business.
