Tasting note

Nose

What a power! No need to waltz the glass, the scent just puffs out of the glass. White pepper and other strong spices dominate at first. Later it calms down a bit and we start smelling grapes, mango and coffee beans too. What a splash.

Taste

Pickled plums, cinnamon, apricot jam and nice toasty flavours. Pine nuts bouncing in the pan as they roast. No sultanas, but clearly currants. Braised fruit and full flavours. 

Finish

Wow, this glass impresses. Not a drenching drinker, as the finish can certainly be called long too. Full-bodied, spicy and powerful are the three words that best fit the finish.
