Tasting note

Colour

Amber with shades of copper.

Nose

Beautiful fruit with lots of fig jam, apricots, peaches and juicy nectarines with hints of orange and mango. Later hints of beeswax, toasted nuts and light mocha. In the background a fine minerality, subtle floral notes and some rancio. If you smell a little deeper, copper tones, some wood notes and tobacco.

Taste

Some floral spices, vanilla and a subtle citrus note. The sweetness is held in check by light wood spices that lead into spices like nutmeg and ginger.

Finish

Nice length, persistent fruit with with lots of nutty notes. Subtle chestnuts as well as some toasted walnuts.

Overall impression

Good complexity with some nice wood aromas, but also enough fruit to keep the balance right. In short: Kort gezegd: Fête dans le verre!
