Advocaat is a viscous liqueur. This drink is prepared with eggs, alcohol in very pure form (often brandy or gin), condensed milk and sugar. By nature, advocaat is not as yellow as we know it. Dye is often added to get that lovely colour. Thin advocaat is made with whole eggs. For thick, firm eggnog, only the yolks are used. The alcohol content of advocaat is more than 14%.
