Tia Maria is a coffee liqueur with Jamaican origins, developed during the first half of the 20th century. From Jamaica, the brand grew into an international classic within the coffee liqueur category. Its Caribbean heritage remains an important part of the Tia Maria identity, combining coffee with vanilla and a touch of Jamaican rum.

Today, Tia Maria is made with 100% Arabica coffee. The beans are carefully roasted before being extracted using a cold brew process, helping to preserve their aromatic character without excessive bitterness. Tia Maria has long played an important role in cocktail culture and is particularly closely associated with coffee-based drinks. The Espresso Martini is among its best known applications.
