Takamaka Extra Noir

How it's made

The Extra Noir is a blend of pot and column distilled molasses rum, soaked with French oak then pressed with both French and ex-bourbon wood. Finally, we let the rum settle in ex French cane rum casks for 60 days.

Tasting note

A full bodied, punchy rum that retains some high ester funk and spicy elements from the French oak, and notes of vanilla and sweet undertones from the ex-bourbon. No sugar, non-chill filtered and bottled at 43% ABV.

Takamaka Rum

Takamaka Rum is a premium rum from Seychelles, produced by the Trois Frères Distillery, located on the idyllic island of Mahé. Founded in 2002 by brothers Richard and Bernard d'Offay, Takamaka is named after a popular bay on the island and the brand has quickly gained a global reputation for its unique flavour and quality.
