Macduff Distillery

Macduff Distillery is located on the banks of the River Deveron, near the town of Macduff in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Founded in 1962 by a group of local entrepreneurs, the distillery is a relatively young player in the world of Scotch whisky. The distillery has five stills, of which the so-called lyne arms have a sharp downward angle, contributing to the whisky's light and fruity character. The whisky is mainly matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, ensuring a nice balance between sweetness and complexity. Macduff whiskies have notes of apple, vanilla, honey and a subtle spiciness.
