Ledaig 12 years 2008 - 2020 Daily Dram 'Classics with a Twist'
Bresser & Timmer, the company behind Daily Dram, has launched a beautiful series entitled 'Classics with a Twist'. This Single Cask Whisky comes from Tobermory Distillery. This distillery makes two different types of Single Malt Whisky, the un-turfed Tobermory and the-turfed Ledaig. This bottling is a powerful version of Ledaig.
Tasting note
Nose
Classic Ledaig aroma. Nicely clean yet a little 'dirty'. Lots of citrus notes nicely combined with the smoke and peat aromas.
Taste
Starts a bit sweet, but the citrus makes it fresher. Peppery, but also roasted wood notes. Nice bitterness on the second sip, but the fresh Ledaig character holds up nicely.
Finish
Classic when it comes to Ledaig. The finish is a nice combination of peat and citrus notes
