Tasting Notes

Nose

A refined smokiness opens the nose, like smoldering driftwood by the sea. Behind it unfolds an intriguing mix of salty sea breeze, grilled pineapple, old leather-bound books, and a hint of eucalyptus. With time, beeswax and soft vanilla also make an appearance.

Palate

Full and rounded on the palate, with a powerful yet perfectly integrated peat smoke. Notes of dried tropical fruits – mango and papaya – alternate with roasted nuts, clove, and a touch of dark chocolate. The balance between sweet, salty, and smoky is remarkably elegant.

Finish

Long and layered, with lingering smoke fading into notes of liquorice, sea salt, and a hint of tobacco. A beautiful, refined finish that lingers gracefully.

Tobermory Distillery
