Bruichladdich distillery is situated on the island of Islay, but is known for its atypical Islay character. There is very little use of peat and generally the taste of Bruichladdich can be called fruity and elegant. A specific barrel maturation can change this as in this case. For this single cask bottling an Ex-Riversaltes Barrique has been used. Riversaltes is a dessert wine from France and ensures that the fruity character of Bruichladdich is accentuated.
