Tasting note

Nose

This is why we love Bunnahabhain so much. This distillery makes wonderfully tart whisky, yet the unturfed one remains our favourite. This one carries distinct notes of the sherry cask and strikes a very good chord with tasters. Mild, but powerful enough to make us happy. Sultanas with sea-salt chocolate.
 

Taste

Sultanas, figs, full spiciness and nice sherry notes. The flavour is wonderfully powerful and one of the tasters mentions that this would be a delicious pairing with a freshly baked baguette with blue-veined cheese. So definitely a spicy whisky, without the peat that Islay is so well known for.

Finish

Sultry and only here does a distinct chocolate sweetness emerge.
