Inspired by the magnificent Himalayan town of Gulmarg – meaning “meadow of flowers” – this bold and uplifting expression showcases our whiskymaker’s sense of adventure as we explore the creation of intensely tropical, modern flavour profiles.

Intensely fruity and floral, Iris is a veritable flavour spectrum bursting with freshly-harvested crisp red apple and juicy pear punctuated with a fragrant honeysuckle counter melody.

Lakes Distillery

Lakes Distillery is located on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, in the breathtaking Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Founded in 2011 by Paul Currie, this distillery has quickly gained recognition for its high-quality products and beautiful location.

A unique feature of Lakes Distillery is the use of water from the nearby River Derwent, which contributes to the purity and quality of their whisky. The distillery combines traditional techniques with modern innovations, using copper pot stills to distil a rich, complex spirit. The whisky matures in a variety of casks, including ex-bourbon, sherry and red wine casks, making for a varied flavour profile.

Lakes whiskies are known for their deep, layered flavours with notes of dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and subtle spices. Besides whisky, the distillery also produces gin and vodka, which have also received favourable reviews.
