Producer

Domaine Denis Meunier is a family estate in Vouvray dedicated to expressing Chenin Blanc in its purest form. The house style is defined by precision, freshness, and structural clarity. The Insolite cuvée highlights the most mineral and incisive side of Vouvray.

Domaine Denis Meunier

Domaine Denis Meunier is a family-owned estate from Vouvray in France’s Loire Valley. The history of the vineyard began in 1921, when Denis Meunier’s great-grandfather planted the first vines. In 1981, his father and uncle took over the estate and expanded the property. Today, Denis represents the fourth generation and manages approximately 15.5 hectares of vineyards, combining generations of family knowledge with a precise and contemporary approach.

The vineyards are situated on slopes and in valleys with clay, limestone, flint and silica-rich soils. Chenin Blanc lies at the heart of the estate and is used to produce several styles of Vouvray, ranging from dry and off-dry to richly sweet and sparkling wines made by the traditional method. Many parcels contain vines over 35 years old. By working plot by plot, controlling yields and harvesting at the right moment, Denis Meunier aims to express the differences in soil and position as clearly as possible. The result is a versatile collection centred on freshness, ripe fruit, fine minerality and natural balance.
