Clos Mogador Com Tu 2019

Clos Mogador Com Tu 2019 is an elegant and restrained red wine from Priorat, created as a more approachable expression within the Clos Mogador portfolio. It clearly reflects the house style, but in a lighter and more refined way than the iconic Clos Mogador itself. Expect balance, freshness, and drinkability, combined with enough depth to remain engaging.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep ruby red with a bright rim.

Aroma

Layered and pure aromas of ripe cherry, redcurrant, and plum, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, floral notes, and a subtle mineral nuance.

Taste

Supple and well balanced with red and dark fruit, fresh acidity, and fine grained tannins. The wine feels elegant and precise, showing a fine interplay between fruit, spice, and structure.

Finish

Medium to long, refined and harmonious, with lingering fruit and a gentle earthy and spicy touch.

Food Pairing

Lovely with grilled meats, lamb dishes, roasted vegetables, stews, and semi aged cheeses. Also a natural match for Mediterranean cuisine.

Producer

Clos Mogador is one of the leading estates in Priorat, led by René Barbier. Working biodynamically, the winery focuses on balance, freshness, and precision. Com Tu was created to offer a more accessible expression of Priorat and the Clos Mogador philosophy, while remaining true to its authenticity and quality.

Clos Mogador

Clos Mogador is a family-owned estate from Priorat in Catalonia, Spain. The family’s winemaking tradition stretches back for centuries, although the present estate began to take shape in the late 1970s. At a time when many vineyards in Priorat had been abandoned, a mixed property with vines, olive trees and almond trees was acquired. A belief that this rugged region was capable of producing exceptional wines led to the first Clos Mogador in 1989. Together with several other forward-looking producers, the winery played an important part in the revival and international recognition of Priorat.

The vineyards occupy steep, stony slopes that require extensive work by hand. Alongside the vines, considerable space is given to natural vegetation, grazing animals, bees and other forms of biodiversity. This regenerative approach is intended to maintain living soils and strengthen the natural balance of the estate. The next generation now plays an important role in both the vineyards and the winery. Clos Mogador has consequently become a name inseparably linked to the modern history of Priorat.
