Bodegas Roda Sela 2019

Bodegas Roda is a modern winery located in the heart of Rioja Alta, in Haro, where tradition and innovation come together. Tasting Note

Nose

The nose is fruity and vibrant, with aromas of red berries, raspberry, and cherry. In the background, subtle notes of flowers, spice, and a touch of vanilla from the oak aging.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is smooth, energetic, and elegant. Ripe red fruit is complemented by hints of clove, cinnamon, and gentle toast. The acidity provides freshness and makes the wine wonderfully drinkable.

Founded in 1987, Bodegas Roda set out with a clear vision: to create wines that reflect the terroir and character of each vintage, combining tradition with a modern approach. Located in Haro, in Rioja Alta, the winery works exclusively with Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano from old, dry-farmed bush vines. For Sela, grapes are selected from younger vineyards, offering a fresher and more approachable expression without compromising on quality. The wine is aged for around one year in used French oak barrels, and released young, refined, and full of drinking pleasure. Sela is the perfect introduction to Roda’s elegant and thoughtful style.
