Batasiolo is a wine producer from the Langhe in Piedmont, Italy. The present company took shape in 1978 around a historic wine estate in La Morra, after which its vineyard holdings were gradually expanded. The name Batasiolo was taken from the area behind the winery. From this base, the company developed into one of the larger privately owned wine producers in the Langhe, maintaining a strong connection to the hills and winemaking traditions of Piedmont.

The vineyards are spread across Barolo, La Morra, Monforte d’Alba and Serralunga d’Alba, providing Batasiolo with parcels at different elevations and with varied soils and exposures. The estate includes both historic vineyards and smaller individual plots, each contributing its own character to the wines. In the cellar, traditional knowledge is combined with modern technology to preserve these distinctions. Batasiolo therefore expresses the diversity of Piedmont, ranging from approachable regional wines to bottles capable of developing over many years.
