Nose

Elegant and clean with aromas of vanilla, coconut and lightly caramelised sugar. Notes of dried banana, orange peel, gentle spice and well-integrated oak follow.

Palate

Dry and full-bodied with flavours of toffee, oak and creamy vanilla. Firm yet beautifully controlled structure, featuring spice notes of nutmeg and white pepper, lifted by a fresh citrus edge.

Finish

Long and focused with lingering oak, soft spice and a dry, refined close where vanilla and citrus quietly echo.

Foursquare Rum Distillery is one of the most highly regarded rum producers in Barbados. The distillery was opened by the Seale family in 1996 on the site of a former sugar factory. By then, the family had already been active in the rum trade for generations: R.L. Seale & Co. was established in 1926 as a rum blender and bottler. Under Richard Seale, Foursquare developed into a leading producer of authentic Barbados rum.

Foursquare distils from molasses and combines two classic techniques: a copper double retort pot still for richer distillates and a twin column Coffey still for lighter rum. Both styles are produced separately and then used in blends matured in the tropical climate of Barbados. The distillery has become particularly known for transparency and its firm preference for rum without added sugar, colouring or flavouring.

Alongside established brands such as Doorly’s and R.L. Seale, Foursquare enjoys particular acclaim among enthusiasts for its Exceptional Cask Selection. These limited releases explore different ages, cask types and double maturation, helping Foursquare achieve an almost iconic status within the modern rum world.

Dràm Mòr is an independent Scottish bottler founded in 2019 by Kenny and Viktorija Macdonald. According to the company, the name means ‘Big Whisky’ in Scottish Gaelic. Based in Dumbarton, a town with a rich whisky heritage, they built on their experience within the drinks industry and their earlier work as an export agency for Scottish brands.

The focus is on carefully selected single cask whiskies. The origin of the spirit matters, but so does the way in which spirit and wood complement one another. Dràm Mòr therefore works with a broad variety of casks, ranging from ex-bourbon and sherry to port, wine, rum and cognac. Some whiskies receive additional maturation or finishing to create greater depth without losing sight of the original distillery character.

Alongside Scotch whisky, Dràm Mòr bottles other spirits, including rum and Armagnac. Its open-minded approach is not driven by reputation or age alone, but by flavour, personality and discovery. Dràm Mòr has therefore developed into a distinctive independent bottler for enthusiasts seeking expressive single casks and unusual cask combinations.
