Nose

Rich and complex with pineapple, ripe banana and fresh sugar cane, followed by ginger and clove. With time, beeswax, white flowers, camphor and a subtle earthy, lightly rubbery note begin to emerge.

Palate

Lively and concentrated with lime, grapefruit and fresh ginger. Sweet sugar cane and fresh vegetal notes bring plenty of tension, while vanilla and gentle spices beautifully reflect the long maturation.

Finish

Long and balanced with a particularly attractive saline note. Pineapple, kaffir lime and vanilla are followed by liquorice, spices and a lightly bitter herbal touch that lingers.

Hidden Spirits is an Italian independent bottler founded in 2013 by whisky enthusiast and collector Andrea Ferrari. Based in the historic centre of Ferrara, he built on his experience as a whisky blogger and on the contacts developed during his travels through Scotland. His aim was clear: to discover distinctive casks and share them with enthusiasts in small releases.

The main focus is single cask Scotch whisky, selected for character, balance and individuality. Hidden Spirits looks beyond age statements or the reputation of a distillery. Both young, powerful whiskies and longer-matured bottlings are considered when a cask shows sufficient personality. Rum also plays an important role, including releases under the related The Wild Parrot label.

Hidden Spirits is equally recognisable for its artistic presentation. Labels are created by different Italian artists, giving every release its own identity. In this way, the bottler combines serious and careful cask selection with Italian creativity and a clear preference for expressive whiskies and rums released in limited quantities.
