Zuidam is a Dutch family-owned distillery founded in 1975 by Fred and Hélène van Zuidam in Baarle-Nassau. The business began with one small copper still, a single production line and a clear ambition: to make spirits in which quality mattered more than speed or volume. Fred’s craftsmanship and Hélène’s carefully designed packaging gave Zuidam a distinctive identity. Their sons Patrick and Gilbert later joined the family business.

Zuidam is therefore much more than a vodka brand. The distillery produces vodka, genever, liqueurs, gin, rum and Millstone whisky under one roof. Its distillates and extracts are made in-house from natural ingredients, without artificial flavours, colours or aromas. Zuidam uses grain for its vodka: wheat provides a clean and crisp character, while rye brings more spice, structure and depth. Dad’s Homemade Vodka is made entirely from rye and refers to the vodka that Fred van Zuidam originally distilled for his own enjoyment. Zuidam thus represents Dutch distilling tradition, independence and an unmistakable dedication to flavour.
