Esbjaerg is a vodka brand with a distinctly Scandinavian identity, named after the Danish port city of Esbjerg. Today, the brand is part of the portfolio of Boomsma in Leeuwarden. This Dutch family business was founded by Dirk Boomsma in 1883 and is now managed by the fifth generation. From its beginnings as a small distillery, Boomsma developed into a versatile producer and supplier of spirits, with Esbjaerg becoming one of its best-known vodka brands.

Esbjaerg Vodka is made from fine wheat-based grain spirit. The spirit is filtered through activated charcoal, helping to soften unwanted sharp notes and create a clean, approachable character. The classic vodka is known for its pure and smooth style, with subtle grain notes, gentle sweetness and a fresh, mild finish. The range also includes Esbjaerg Copper Vodka, which combines the brand’s characteristic smoothness with a fuller profile. Esbjaerg can be enjoyed neat and well chilled, but is particularly valued as a versatile base for cocktails and long drinks such as the Espresso Martini, Cosmopolitan and Vodka Lime.
