Coleburn Selection 12 years - Batch 2

This limited edition blended Scotch whisky is a flavourful creation from independent bottler Aceo Spirits. For this second batch of the Coleburn Selection, a blend of carefully chosen malt and grain whiskies was matured for 12 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Port casks. The result is a rich, approachable and surprisingly layered dram that appeals to both newcomers and seasoned whisky drinkers. A tribute to the legacy of the legendary Coleburn distillery, elegantly bottled with a modern twist.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Seductively sweet with notes of raisins, dates, vanilla and toasted nuts. The PX influence brings a warm, syrupy richness, while the port casks add red fruits and gentle spice.

Palate

Smooth and rounded. Velvety flavours of caramel, milk chocolate, black cherries and a touch of fig jam. The sherry and port cask elements add depth and harmony without dominating the blend.

Finish

Medium to long with a pleasant sweetness. Notes of plums, candied orange and a hint of oak linger. Elegant, warming and thoroughly inviting.
