Loch Lomond Single Grain Mizunara Wood Cask Finish

The first in a series of annual limited releases from Master Blender, Michael Henry. Distilled using only 100% malted barley and then matured in American Oak cask with a finish on Japanese Mizunara casks. The result is a smooth whisky with an elegant fruity and floral character, enhanced by rich fragrant spices from the Mizunara casks.

Tasting note

Nose

The nose combines rose, honeysuckle, blackcurrant and toasted oak.

Taste

On the palate, there is a sweet spicy character with apple, sandalwood, honey and cinnamon.

Finish

Nice length with a dry, warming oak spice finish.
