Tasting note
Nose
Aromas of ripe apples and pears, with hints of honey, vanilla, and a touch of spices like nutmeg. A subtle floral freshness and a hint of lemon zest add refinement.
Palate
Elegant and smooth, with notes of creamy toffee, apple crumble, and gentle spiciness of cinnamon. The fruitiness is perfectly balanced by soft oak tones and a hint of malty sweetness.
Finish
Medium-length and warming, with lingering hints of honey, gentle spices, and a touch of citrus. The finish is harmonious and inviting.
Daftmill Distillery
Daftmill Distillery is located in the heart of Fife, Scotland, on a working farm owned by the Cuthbert family since 1984. Founded in 2005 by Francis Cuthbert, Daftmill is one of the few distilleries that runs entirely on seasonal production, distilling whisky during the quieter farming months of summer and winter.
A specific feature of Daftmill is the use of its own barley, grown on the farm, which ensures complete control over the quality of the base ingredient. The distillery has two traditional copper pot stills and produces a limited quantity of whisky, highlighting the exclusivity and high quality of their products. Daftmill whiskies are known for their smooth, fruity and floral character, with notes of apple, pear and honey. Maturation takes place in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, contributing to the complexity and depth of flavour profiles Daftmill offers.
