Glen Grant 23 years 1998 - 2021 Cask Series 017
Glen Grant bottled by independent bottlers is becoming increasingly scarce. You don't see Glen Grant aged over 20 years on the market much either, so this 23-year-old Glen Grant is a welcome addition to our range.
Tasting note
Nose
Chesterfield leather is the first thing mentioned. Yet also fresh notes of freshly cut grass and roasted nuts, nutella and treacle wafer.
Taste
Smouldering tobacco, roasted caramel, nut bread. White pepper and banana bread. The sherry cask hasn't added much colour, but a bin of flavours.
Finish
A friendly but particularly long finish.
Glen Grant Distillery
Glen Grant Distillery is located in Rothes, in the heart of Scotland's Speyside region. Founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant, the distillery has a long and rich history. Known for its innovative approach, Glen Grant became one of the first distilleries to use electric lighting in 1872.
A unique feature of Glen Grant is the use of water from the nearby Caperdonich spring, which contributes to the purity of their products. Glen Grant whiskies are known for their elegant, fruity and floral aromas, with notes of apple, pear, vanilla and a subtle hint of spiciness.
The whiskies are mainly matured in ex-bourbon casks, which ensures a refined and balanced flavour. Glen Grant is recognised worldwide for its consistency and quality. The combination of a rich history, innovative techniques and high-quality whiskies makes Glen Grant a respected name in the world of Scotch whisky.
