Tasting Notes

Nose

Bold and deep. Dark raisins, dried figs, and bitter chocolate leap out of the glass, backed by spiced oak, nutmeg, and a touch of roasted espresso.

Palate

Full-bodied, punchy, and warming. Candied dates, clove, and walnut take center stage, balanced by leathery notes, toasted oak, and a flicker of pepper heat.

Finish

Long, spicy, and satisfying. Cocoa powder, orange zest, and a lingering sherry richness leave a lasting impression.

GlenAllachie Distillery

GlenAllachie Distillery is located in the heart of the Speyside region, near the town of Aberlour in Moray. Founded in 1967 by Mackinlay, McPherson & Co, the distillery has a rich history and a reputation for producing high-quality whiskies. After several ownership transfers, GlenAllachie was acquired by whisky icon Billy Walker in 2017, leading to a revival of the distillery.

A unique feature of GlenAllachie is its focus on artisanal production methods and the use of a wide range of casks for maturation. The distillery uses water from nearby Ben Rinnes, which contributes to the purity and character of their whiskies. GlenAllachie whiskies are known for their rich and complex flavour profiles, with notes of honey, sultanas, chocolate and spices.
