Teeling Single Pot Still
Our Single Pot Still is the first whiskey distilled in Dublin in almost 50 years and pays homage to a Dublin style made famous by the old, now closed, Dublin Whiskey Distilleries.
Teeling Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is made using a unique Irish mash bill consisting of 50% malted and 50% unmalted barley that is triple-distilled and matured in a combination of American Virgin Oak, Bourbon and Sherry casks.
This is not how everyone makes Irish Whiskey - it's the Teeling way. This is the Spirit of Dublin.
Tasting note
Aromas of cinnamon, grapefruit, cream soda and toasted almonds. An initial taste of white pepper on the tip of the tongue gives way to ripe kumquats, peaches and cream and a touch of honey sweetness. Dry, with a strong lingering spiciness enveloping the tongue and dark muscovado sugar sweetness.
46% ABV, triple-distilled and not cold-filtered.
Nose
Fresh fruit, grapefruit, lychee and spices.
Taste
Peaches, poached pears, thick creaminess, cooked grains and allspice.
Finish
Dry, spicy with rich sweetness from muscovado sugar.
More about Teeling Distillery
Teeling Distillery is relatively new to the Irish whiskey industry, but is quickly making a name for itself thanks to their quality products and modern approach. They are reaping the benefits of the centuries-old Teeling family tradition of distilling, which dates back to 1782, when Walter Teeling established a small distillery in Marrowbone Lane, in the heart of Dublin.
The new Dublin distillery is the first new distillery in the city in over 125 years and is located in the historic Liberties district. Since its opening, Teeling has attracted many visitors and won numerous awards for their whiskey. The distillery offers tours and tastings, where visitors can learn more about the production process and history of Irish whiskey.
