Tasting Note

Nose

The nose is refined and complex, with aromas of wild cherry, ripe strawberry, and rosehip. Subtle notes of cedar, clove, and damp forest floor add depth and character.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is smooth yet concentrated, with fine tannins and lively acidity. Flavors of red berries, black tea, spice, and a touch of cocoa come together beautifully. The oak aging is perfectly integrated, supporting the fruit without dominating.

Cantina Meran

Cantina Meran is a forward-thinking cooperative working with around 360 small growers in the Merano area. The vineyards are scattered across slopes between 300 and 800 meters in elevation, offering ideal conditions for grapes like Pinot Noir. The "Zeno" Riserva comes from the estate’s best parcels and is aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels, followed by further bottle aging. Named after the patron saint of Merano, this wine reflects the essence of the region: precision, elegance, and a subtle alpine character. This is Pinot Noir with Italian flair and finesse.
