Hacienda López de Haro is a Spanish winery from San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja Alta. It was established with the aim of continuing the classical character of Rioja in a contemporary and approachable way. This historic wine village was deliberately chosen as its home, surrounded by old vineyards and protected by the Sierra del Toloño. The setting has an important influence on the local climate and the gradual ripening of the grapes.

The winery stands on a hill in the heart of the vineyard landscape. Its design makes use of the natural differences in elevation, allowing grapes and wine to be moved largely by gravity. Hacienda López de Haro works with fruit from different parts of Rioja, placing particular importance on old vines and traditional ageing in oak. The winery seeks a style that preserves the recognisable identity of Rioja while keeping the wines open, balanced and pleasantly approachable.
