Lorgeril Banyuls Traditionnel 3 Ans d’Âge

The Lorgeril Banyuls Traditionnel 3 Ans d’Âge is a classic fortified wine from Roussillon, offering a warm Mediterranean character. After three years of ageing, the wine shows a fine balance between ripe fruit, gentle oxidative notes, and refined sweetness. Rich yet composed, and made for slow enjoyment.

Producer

Lorgeril is a historic wine family with deep roots in southern France. The estate combines traditional methods with careful ageing, producing authentic wines that emphasise regional character and balance.

Maison Lorgeril

Maison Lorgeril is a historic family-owned wine producer from Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France. At the heart of the company is Château de Pennautier, which has been associated with the family since 1620. Twelve generations have contributed to the development of the estate. Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril have continued this tradition since 1987. Under their direction, the company has expanded to six individual estates comprising approximately 250 hectares of vineyards across several renowned wine regions in Languedoc and Roussillon.

Alongside wines from its own estates, Maison Lorgeril offers a broader collection of southern French wines, including a traditional Banyuls. This fortified sweet wine is made from Grenache grown near the Mediterranean coast, where the vines occupy steep, stony slopes. Fermentation is stopped at the appropriate moment by adding grape spirit, preserving part of the grapes’ natural sweetness. The wine then matures for three years before bottling. In this way, Maison Lorgeril connects its centuries-old family history with the diverse winemaking traditions of southern France.
