El Dorado 25 years Vintage 1997

This is the oldest rum in El Dorado's core range. Distilled in Guyana and matured for 25 years under the island's tropical conditions. 

Tasting notes

Nose

Do we smell rum here, or is it cognac after all? What a wonderfully fruity character rises from our glass there. Full and spicy, silky and particularly refined.

Taste

Full and particularly soft. Mildly sweet and lots of dark sweet fruit. Sultanas and figs, but also the alcohol provides some extra spice. This is a rum with a lot of character. Sit back and relax, because your patience will be rewarded. New flavours emerge with every sip, and all equally pleasing.

Finish

The mildly sweet character continues to spoil the palate for minutes.
