Tasting note

Nose

The first thing that comes to mind is clean, fresh and vanilla. Of course, the peat also immediately comes to the fore. Take a creamy vanilla cake and leave it in the oven just too long so the edges burn then you have exactly the smell we have in our nose right now. Sweet edge with a lovely burnt note.

Taste

The mild sweetness combined with the firm peat also shows up well in the flavour. Some more of the briny notes here too. Also a fresh note of limoncello, or is it more lemon tea? No it's a glass of limoncello while sitting next to a campfire with toasted marsmellows.

Finish

Almost no more sweetness here, but mainly bitter peat smoke that slowly dies out on the palate.

Overall impression

Surely the 100 Proof Edition series is an impressive one for its price!
