Dailuaine, known for its robust, meaty spirit, gets a charming and seductive twist here through maturation in a First Fill Moscatel Octave. Bottled by Dutch Agreement after just 6 years, but already bursting with character. The Moscatel cask adds a lovely balance of sweetness, florals and spice – a dram with youthful energy and surprising depth.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Bright and exuberant with aromas of white grapes, peach, blossom honey and candied citrus. Hints of ginger and marzipan in the background.

Palate

Rich and sweet with flavours of tropical fruits, honey cake, sultanas and warming spice. The texture is full and almost syrupy, yet never heavy.

Finish

Medium length with gentle spice, floral honey, golden raisins and a soft touch of orange zest.

Dailuaine Distillery

Dailuaine Distillery is located in the Speyside region, near the village of Carron in Moray. Founded in 1852 by William Mackenzie, Dailuaine has a rich history in whisky production and is known for its high-quality single malts. The distillery is picturesquely located at the foot of Mount Ben Rinnes, which provides a constant source of pure water.

A unique feature of Dailuaine is the use of worm tubs, a traditional cooling system that contributes to the full and complex flavour profile of their whiskies.
