Tasting Notes

Nose

Restrained and mature with dried apricot, raisins and orange peel, yet with plenty of air between the notes. Behind that: apple, pear and lemon oil, followed by almond, walnut and a soft beeswax touch. The oak stays elegant with polished wood and a subtle tea like nuance.

Palate

Silky and precise, balancing fruit with a dry sherry structure. Yellow apple and ripe pear meet honey and light malty sweetness. Then come nutty tones, cocoa and gentle spice such as cinnamon and a touch of ginger. The refill butt brings finesse and a lightly tannic grip rather than sticky PX richness.

Finish

Medium to long, drying and clean with lingering citrus, nuts and soft cocoa. Toward the end: more tea, oak and a fine bittersweet orange peel note.
