Description
Macallan Edition No.3 is a remarkable expression in the renowned Edition Series, where craftsmanship and innovation come together. For this edition, Macallan collaborated with esteemed perfumer Roja Dove to create a whisky rich in aromas and complex flavors. The result is an elegant and refined single malt, where scent plays a crucial role in the overall experience. Maturation in a combination of American and European oak casks has resulted in a deep and harmonious whisky with a refined balance between sweetness and spice.
Tasting note
Nose

A vibrant and inviting aroma opens with notes of vanilla, sweet citrus fruits, and fresh flowers. Warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg add depth, while subtle hints of oak and honey bring a refined sweetness.

Palate

Rich layers of dried fruit, soft caramel, and creamy vanilla fill the palate, complemented by toasted almonds and a gentle spice. The influence of the various casks creates a beautiful complexity, with both sweet and spicy elements in perfect harmony.

Finish

The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of orange zest, dark chocolate, and subtle oak accents. A light floral touch remains, giving the whisky a refined and harmonious conclusion.
