Jim Beam is one of the oldest and best-known American bourbon brands, with a history dating back to 1795. Founded by Jacob Beam, a German immigrant, the distillery was originally called Old Tub and is located in Clermont, Kentucky, in the heart of Bourbon County. Jim Beam is named after James B. Beam, who restarted production after Prohibition in 1933 and made the brand one of the largest bourbons in the world.

One of Jim Beam's key features is the use of a centuries-old recipe that has been passed down for seven generations. The bourbon is made from a blend of corn, rye and malted barley, and aged for a minimum of four years in new, charred oak barrels. This gives the bourbon its distinctive full flavour with notes of vanilla, caramel, oak and a subtle spiciness.

Its location in Clermont provides access to pure limestone water, which is essential for bourbon production.
