Yamazakura Asaka
Yamazakura Asaka is an elegant Japanese single malt whisky, produced by the Asaka Distillery, part of Sasanokawa Shuzo. This whisky reflects the delicate and refined style of Japanese whisky-making, where craftsmanship and precision are key. Yamazakura, a name that refers to Japan's mountains and cherry blossoms, embodies the harmony between natural ingredients and carefully selected casks. Thanks to maturation in carefully chosen barrels, this whisky develops a balanced combination of fruity, floral, and slightly spicy notes. With an alcohol percentage of 46%, Yamazakura Asaka offers a vibrant and refined drinking experience that is both accessible and complex.

Asaka Distillery
Asaka Distillery is a Japanese whisky producer located in Fukushima prefecture. It is part of Sasanokawa Shuzo, a company that has been producing sake and shochu since 1765. In 1946, Sasanokawa Shuzo was licensed to distill whisky, making it one of Japan's oldest whisky producers. In 2016, Asaka Distillery reopened, taking the company into a new phase in whisky production.
The distillery combines traditional Scottish methods with Japanese precision and craftsmanship. Asaka's whiskies mature in different casks, such as bourbon and sherry casks, developing complex and layered flavours. Their best-known releases are the Yamazakura series and several single malts.
Due to its unique geographical location, with pure spring water from the nearby mountains, Asaka Distillery produces whiskies with a refined and balanced character. It is an emerging name within the Japanese whisky world and is becoming increasingly popular internationally.
