Tasting Note

Nose

The nose opens with refined aromas of ripe peach, citrus, and toasted hazelnut. Underneath, notes of white flowers, brioche, and subtle minerality emerge.

Cloudy Bay

Founded in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first wineries to establish itself in Marlborough. What began as a modest venture soon became a global icon, thanks in part to its groundbreaking Sauvignon Blanc. Since then, Cloudy Bay has refined and expanded its range to include Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The grapes for the Chardonnay are sourced from selected vineyards with stony, free-draining soils. Fermentation takes place partly in French oak, followed by aging on the lees, creating complexity and creaminess without heaviness.
