Tomatin 22 Years 1962 – 1984 Brown Dumpy Bottle – Cadenhead 46%
This rare Tomatin 22 Years, distilled in 1962 and bottled in 1984 by Cadenhead, is a true time capsule in liquid form. Bottled at 46% in the iconic brown dumpy bottle, this Speyside single malt exudes vintage elegance. From an era when whisky was crafted small-scale and unfiltered, this dram reveals how refined and complex Tomatin already was decades ago. A unique expression full of soft layers, subtle oxidative notes and a beautifully balanced old-school profile rarely seen today.

Tomatin Distillery
Tomatin Distillery is located at the foot of the Monadhliath Mountains, just south of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1897, Tomatin has a rich history and is one of the highest-ranking distilleries in Scotland. Over the years, the distillery has developed into a major producer of single malt whisky.
A unique feature of Tomatin is the use of local water from the Alt-na-Frith Burn, which contributes to the pure character of their whiskies. Tomatin is known for its smooth and fruity whiskies, with notes of apple, pear, vanilla and a hint of spice. The whiskies are mainly matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, ensuring a rich and balanced flavour.
Tomatin has a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship, which is reflected in their extensive range of single malts and limited editions. The combination of historic traditions, a unique location and high-quality whiskies makes Tomatin a respected name in the world of Scotch single malt whisky.
Cadenhead
Cadenhead, known in full as William Cadenhead Ltd, is the world's oldest independent bottler of Scotch whisky. Founded in 1842 in Aberdeen, Scotland, the company is known for its high-quality, authentic whiskies and other spirits. Cadenhead has a long and rich history and enjoys worldwide esteem among whisky lovers and collectors.
History
Cadenhead was founded in 1842 by George Duncan, but soon William Cadenhead, Duncan's brother-in-law, took over the company. Under his leadership, the company grew into a respected name in the whisky trade. Initially known as a wine and spirits merchant, Cadenhead soon developed into a leading bottler of Scotch whisky. In 1972, the company was sold to J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Ltd, the parent company of Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. This marked a new phase in Cadenhead's history, integrating the company with one of Scotland's best-known distilleries.
