Sherry comes from Cádiz in Andalusië, Spain. Cádiz is situated between Jerez de la Frontera (which gave its name to Sherry) and Puerto de Santa Maria. Over 90% of the vineyards are planted with Palomino grapes. The other sherry grapesvarieties are Pedro Ximenez and Muscadel, and are mainly used to make sherry sweeter. The Pedro Ximenez Sherry is made of Pedro Ximenez grapes which are harvested late september, and then dried in the sun to concentrate taste and sugar. The Sherry made of these grapes is sweet and concentrated.

Tasting Notes:

Intense dark brown color with aromas of nuts, raisins, figs and dates, chocolate and mocca. Very intense sweetness in the mouth, for the real sweet tooth, with tastes of dates, raisins but also well balanced freshness and bitterness.
